Chair for Critical Studies in Higher Education Transformation
Sharon Stein is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Studies at the University of British Columbia (Canada). She also holds a Professorship in Climate Complexity and Coloniality in Higher Education. In collaboration with scholars, artists, and communities, her research and pedagogical projects ask how higher education can prepare people to navigate social and ecological breakdown in relevant, relationally rigorous, and intergenerationally responsible ways. She is the founder of the Critical Internationalization Studies Network (criticalinternationalization.net) and a co-founder of the Gesturing Towards Decolonial Futures Collective (decolonialfutures.net).
