This presentation speaks against this point of view by arguing that bias is not unconscious but instead is linked to Charles Mills’ (1997) ‘Racial Contract’ and its  ‘epistemologies of ignorance’.

Two sets of arguments, previously separated in the decolonisation debates, are brought together here to argue that higher education institutions need to rebuild relational justice as an important aspect of social justice.
